Eduardo “Eddie” Méndez | Martin “Marty” Rothbard

Eduardo "Eddie" Méndez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. A graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies in 1996 and Masters of Science in Taxation in 2001, he joined the Real Estate Industry group in the Miami office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. In 2003 he left PricewaterhouseCoopers to become the managing shareholder of Mendez & Mendez, P.A. Eddie specializes in structuring foreign investment in U.S. based businesses and real estate. In addition to real estate expertise, he has extensive experience working with clients in the restaurant and manufacturing industries. Eddie is an active member of the AICPA and FICPA, and President of the Cuban-American CPAs Association, Inc.

 

Eddie is married with three children and resides in the Kendall area of Miami-Dade County.

 

 

 

 

 

Martin "Marty" Rothbard has over 23 years of experience providing tax services to sophisticated clients. Marty’s primary expertise is working with publicly and privately-held corporate tax clients. Marty has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and resolving controversies with the IRS. Marty’s industry expertise includes real estate, construction and related financial services such as banks, mortgage bankers, REITs, venture capitalists and hedge funds. Marty’s career began with KPMG in Short Hills, New Jersey in 1986. He joined Coopers & Lybrand in 1995 and became a Tax Partner in the New York office of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2000. Marty relocated to the Miami office of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2002 to lead the South Florida Financial Services tax practice. Marty is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida, New Jersey and Illinois. Marty is also a Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr.FA). He has a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Masters Degree in Taxation from Seton Hall University. Marty is an active member of the AICPA and is currently the President elect of the Broward County Chapter of the Florida Institute of CPAs.

 

Marty resides in Weston with his wife, Susan, and three children.
